I hope this finds you well as the end of the year approaches and 2010 arrives! I am at the office - New Years Camp starts in less than 2 hours, and we will both be missing it. I decided a couple of weeks ago that I needed to let Steve run the show, and because it is a fairly small camp (54 kids), I'd only be in the way... It'll be strange to miss it (I have directed 18 New Years Camps over the years). Heather and I have invited about 20 people over to our house for a party New Years Eve, so I guess I won't be bored or lonely.
How are you? I called you house yesterday and had a good chat with Aaron, and he brought me up to speed on your life and experience so I don't feel entirely out of the loop. I have been praying for you, and will continue to do so now that I have a little more info. I will pray specifically for you and your team! I will also pray that you will 'bloom where you are planted', and that it will be a lesson that will serve you well throughout your life.
How is your support level? Do you still need money? Please be sure to let me know (you might consider letting people know via your blog - there is a passage somewhere in the Bible that says "You have not because you ask not". I know it refers to us asking God for sure, but I think it is reasonable to extend that principle to the wider context of making our needs known to others...).
Hey Carmen I've been thinking of you a bunch over the holidays and wondering how you're doing. I hope it wasn't too lonely. Praying for you and looking forward to seeing you in March!
